India beat New Zealand by five wickets

Bangalore, Sep 3

India won the second cricket Test by five wickets and whitewashed New Zealand in the two-match series at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here Monday.

Set a target of 261 in the second innings, India made 262 for five after Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 51 and Mahendra Singh Dhoni on 48. India had made 353 in the first innings.

New Zealand made 365 in the first innings and 248 in the second innings.
