Markeys Dragon to show class in Oxford's Blanchford Building - Bettor

Markeys Dragon to show class in Oxford?s Blanchford Building Supplies Oxfordshire Stakes - Heat 3

Although the odds are nowhere in Markeys Dragon?s favour, the punters should keep an eye on him, when it comes to bet in the third heat of Blanchford Building Supplies Oxfordshire Stakes, taking place at Oxford on Saturday, October 6th.

The black dog can match any of his rivals on dash to first turn. An early lead is very crucial for him, because making a strong finish will be a tough task. The bookmakers have ignored him because of his recent trouncing at Romford, where he was third behind King Bradley.

No one should forget that it was not a disgraceful defeat for Markeys Dragon. The son of Ace Hi Rumble picked up an early pace, and railed very nicely in the middle stages to reach the front row.

However, a little mess at the fourth bend took the advantage away from him. As a result, he finished third by two and a half lengths. H. Dimmock?s trainee has the ability to show a winning effort at the open level, and he showed it on his penultimate trip.

The spectators at Henlow saw him winning a 460 metres contest with plenty of ease. The skilful hound led the proceedings all the way through, and eventually grabbed the first position by 2? lengths.

Markeys Dragon has recently done reasonably well at different venues. He won?t take much time in adjusting his game to Oxford?s conditions, and surely has a role to play tonight.

Other contestants in the 450 metres flat open race are: Kilmalady Biffo, Helenas Sailor, Ballymac Eat, Daddys Round and Droopys Pharaoh. The participants will start running at 21:15 GMT. A prize of 150 pounds will be given to the winner.

Daddys Round recently sealed a good win, but at the lower level. Ballymac Eat is returning to the scene after a gap of more than four weeks. The black dog is unlikely to thrive straight after a break.

Droopys Pharaoh may struggle to secure a clear passage from the fourth box. Kilmalady Biffo is in excellent form these days, and will be a hard fellow to beat. On the other hand, only an inside crowding can help Helenas Sailor?s cause.
